From next Monday, September 1st, the Bilbao Tram Service (EuskoTran) Winter Timetables will be in force, offering services every ten minutes for most of the day, in both directions.

More than 11,000 people will have used Vitoria-Gasteiz’s local train service today, the day on which fares take effect for this new mode of transportation supported by the Basque Government’s Department of Transportation and Public Works. This estimation has been made with figures recorded until 6:30 p.m. today, when a total of 7,500 operations with BAT cards in the ticket machines at stops and the purchase of more than 1,000 single and daily tickets were counted.

Every Saturday night, EuskoTren offers night railway and road transport services with a view to catering for the transport requirements of a large part of the population during their free time. Furthermore, since last Saturday, September 16th, EuskoTren has extended its night railway services between Bilbao and Zaldibar and now reaches the towns of Ermua, Eibar and Elgoibar, in both directions.
